Abused or Just New? (X1X)

"He isn't like that..." Kyo's face was turning bright red. He was blushing?! He leaned down so his hair covered his cheeks. "Can, I maybe change my bandages?" He asked. He hadn't showed her his whole face, and the infection was getting worse, he had to clean it.

She smiled, she'd made him blush, "Oh, of course, would you like any help?" for the first time she actually looked down at her hands sitting in her lap, nails broken and jagged, god she'd probably hurt someone.

"Only if you want." He was a little surprised. No one besides Max had offered to help. He took a deep breath and pushed his hair behind his ears, exposing his whole face. He had other wounds, but they could wait.

She smiled at him, "Got a pretty face on you, what can i do?" she was ungodly tired, but keeping herself busyt was a way to keep her awake

"Well I don't know how bad it is..so I guess you could tell me what I should put on it." Kyo looked down. He was pretty?

She moved close and turned it to face her, the cut, red and jagged, "Ice, put ice on it to take the swelling down, hydrogen peroxide, it'll hurt a little, before the ice to help that infection."

"I doubt it will hurt as much as getting it." He smiled lightly. He heard Max carrying a tray with cups on it. He entered the room with tea. "I know, its odd to make tea, but it will keep you from feeling dizzy when the blood starts flowing in you. And it'll keep some nutrition in you until you can eat again in the morning."
Kyo glanced at him and looked back down. Max seemed to sense something he didn't.
"So, do you want me to do your IV or do you want Kyo to do it?"
"Me?!" Kyo almost yelled.
"Will you keep it down?"
"But you...I'm...you ruin my life Max."

Elijah moved her mouth open and poped her ears, "Thanks for the migrane Max." she turned to Kyo againm, "That may differ i guess. But, if you can put in an IV with out putting like six holes in me you can do it." Knowing she was sitting uin a room of men, that could be taken wrong

Max burst out laughing. "You know.."
"Shut up, pervet." Kyo growled. He stood up. So much for having a moment. He grabbed the cooler that Max had placed along the assorted tea cups and opened it. There were four bags of blood, he took the one on the top and hooked it on the IV stand. "How long is this going to take?" He asked Max.
"A few hours at least. That's more blood than I had to give you the last times."
Kyo nodded and attached the rubber tubing to the end of the blood bag, running it down. There were two needles. He knew how to do it. He grabbed the alcohol pads and took Elijah's arm, gently rubbing the cold pad along the crease in her elbow. "Do you trust me enough to do this?" He whispered.

SHe smiled up at him, "You ran to my side, and carreid me here nearly naked and in your coat...I'll be fine. and, if you mess up, Looks like Max needs to make sure when he's teaching you to do a better job of it. Ther are no bad students, just bad teachers." she smirked past him at Max, "And you, you'll try to keep your mind strieght or you'll wake up fairly uncomforable."

"If you only knew." Max smirked. "And you remember what I told you, don't you, Kyo."
Kyo wasn't sure exactly what thing Max was talking about, but he nodded, taking the first needle in his hand. He gripped her arm in such a way that it excited the thickest vein in her elbow. That was the one he needed. It came to the surface of her skin, this way he didn't have to search for it. He took a breath and pushed the needle into her vein, holding it in place with his thumb while his free hand grabbed the medical tape, sealing it to her skin. He had done it. "Did I hurt you?" He suddenly asked, a little panicked.
Max started snickering and quickly walked into the hallway to compose himself.

she hald still as he gripped her arm , not feeling only seeing the needel slide into her vein under the skin. when he asked her if he'd hurt her, she smiled down at him, "Nope, ddint' even feel it..." she glared and rolled her eyes as max left the froom, not realixing that she had trailed off and had gotten scilent.

"He's such a pervert and an ass," Kyo muttered as he took her hand, rubbing another alcohol pad on the back of her hand. "Just one more." He had done good so far, and he had, had Max's guidance in the past so he knew he was doing this part right. It was just doing this for Elijah that made him so nervous. He didn't want to upset her in anyway. Or hurt or for that matter.
He took the needle and held it, hovering over the vein, waiting for it to jump so he could take his chance.

SHe nodded but otherwise wans't moving. Tiredness was taking over her body again and leaning on her other hand she closed her eyes. it wasn't like the sleep would be peacefull, for god';s shakes, she would bre reliving everythign with out anyone ever knowing as she slep

When the vein jumped, so did Kyo, pushing the needle into her hand, and sealing it just like the first. He then unlocked the tubes so the blood began going into her body. "You can sleep now if you want." He smiled. "Just don't yank these out and drink so tea so you don't get light-headed." He was sure she would think he sounded like he was telling her what to do, but he really didn't want her to pass out on him. "I'll go..wash up I guess."

She was perfectly awake, but dind't hear him, behindher closed eyes you could see her eyes moving, reliving once again her childhood stolen form her nad every;hting else.

Kyo placed Max's shirt next to her on the bed and turned to leave the room, there wasn't much he could do for her if she was going to sleep. He could only go clean up what Max didn't.
Max grabbed him in the hallway, putting his finger to his lips.
"Let go." Kyo growled.
"No, its just...I've never seen you like this. You're happy. Happier than I've ever seen you before."
"Max, don't bother me or her right now, its been a long night, I want a shower."
"Wait," He grabbed Kyo's shirt. "Is my face really bleeding?"
Kyo raised his eyebrow. "Yeah why?"
"No reason..."
"What were you doing?"
"Well Kotomi threw a spatula at me.."
Kyo burst out laughing and unhooked Max's hands from his shirt. "You really must be a douche bag." He closed the bathroom door behind him, time to fix his face and wounds.
Kyo sighed and pulled his shirt over his head. He had cuts everywhere. All over his back, his rib cage and stomach. Those were the worst of them, the rest were all over his legs. What was he thinking? She would never want to touch him that way, especially if she seen him this way.

Elijah came out of her daze hours later, when the house was scilent. she marly sat ther wrapped inthe towels, not really feeling like moving uch until she saw the shirt laying beside her. HE pulled it up and held it up, most likely max's she slipped it over her head and on, at least it would stay up. she laid back nad started at the ceiling, unsied to laying in a bed she got up and stood, the towel around her awist still there securly an the one on her top falling. she sighed, not tired

It must have been hours before Kyo came out of the bathroom. He had put peroxide on every one of his wounds, and bandages on the ones that needed the most attention. And then he had jumped in the shower, washing the remnants of blood in the bottom of the tub away. He stood in front of the bathroom mirror, a towel wrapped around his waist, his hair, hanging low over his eyes. He would have to borrow some of Max's clothes until he went home and got some of his own to replace them.
It was almost dawn before he opened the door and looked down the hallway. Max was asleep at the table, a cigarette still lit, between his fingers. Kyo sighed and walked up to him, taking it away from him and snuffing it out. Max really needed someone to watch him.
But then again, he had been doing it for years now and there was no one to watch over him. He figured Elijah's blood would need to be replaced again so he grabbed another bag out of the fridge before heading back down the hall. He hoped she was asleep so he didn't wake her up.

She stood long enough to strach for lying back dwon and then dtacing on the black ceiling little patters with her eyes. she did this to distract her mind form the thoughts in it. to them, she was dead and gone and out of thr life. her unloving family wou'nt even put her missing untilk the blood was foind with...where was her phone?"

"Are you still feeling weak? Do you need more blood?" Kyo asked, looking at the floor. He was getting water everywhere, his free hand was pulling the towel tight around his waist while the other held the bag of blood. He knew she was deep in thought.

She answered after a minuet or so, "Yes, i do," she wasn't worried about her phone. She could har the waer dropping off him and didn't open ehr eyes, she could, just din't want to. Smiling she did and locked them on his face, "May i ask, do you ever sleep?"

Kyo smiled a little to himself as he unhooked the empty bag and put the new on on the hook, hooking the tubes up. "I'm an insomniac. I'm afraid to sleep so I can go for a while on a couple hours." He sighed and tossed the empty bag in the trash and pulled his towel tighter. "If you're looking for something..it will be replaced, don't worry."

She shrugged, "Well, you are welcome ot stay her a nd keep me company. I don't usually sleep but maybe two hours after bing up for three days after an attack like that.... I'm not worried about anything. It hada tracker in it and I think i probably killed it being soaked in blood." she was board as hell and if she doin't find someting to do, granted it was ther 6th day with out sleep now, she would be in trouble. She kept the thougt of him to herself, knwoing she would fall asleep and probably wake up on his ahest.

"Well in that case, if you want a new phone, I'll have Max get you a new one. He was going to get me one that way he can keep tabs on me. Especially later today..I have to go back home to get some of my stuff. You on the other hand, are not going back there at all." Kyo sat down in the chair next to the window, pushing his wet hair out of the way, flinging waterdroplets everywhere. It was about five o clock. "I know that living here with two strange guys you barely know isn't the best situation and its probably really awkard for you, but..I want you to stay here and so does Max."
