It’d been total war for over thirty years. Nativity had been fighting since the was thirteen, six years before her father pulled her out. She had all the scars to prove it. Her father ((needed)) , now afraid he’d loose the only heir to his throne, hid her away in the castle fortress.
Making her dress in a long sleeved, floor length turtle necked dresses that hugged her like a second skin. Then, the worst part, a face covering. She was proud of her battle scars, and didn’t want to hide them. A hood was folded around her hair like a Muslim covering. Then, her face covered everything but her eyes, her dark grey eyes. Ringed in black. Her eye color and her dark blood red hair.
Then, the utmost worst idea was presented to her father by his court, marriage. An arranged marriage of a man he chose. Marry her off and he wouldn’t have to deal with her violent sometime deadly mood swings. Find her something else to worry about. Huge groups of men were flown in, any kind, 19 or older. He happened to look 21 but, was unknowingly to the father and King, that he was a vampire.
The King takes him into live as a watcher, have her get used to him first. He got a look at her face and body one night in the courtyard as she was standing under her balcony. A scar wrapped from her right temple up and down to her chin. it was a pale pink line about two inches wide. He watched her undress, sick he knew her read hair spilling from the cover down her back to her waist.
She pulled on the most normal pajamas, a thin strapy tank top and a pair of gym shorts that reached her knees. Her body was covered in scars, battle scars he knew from hearing her past. Can he tell her, he may lover her and is vampire….let alone that he is the ruler of the other side?

Nativity yawned, shifting sides in her bed so that the sun didn’t keep her up again. It wsa Sunday, her only day to rest before training, then school and then more training. 4am that morning to 1am that night each day but this day. She yawned again and pulled the blanket up further even though she wasn’t cold. Her room was her safe haven, not even her mother when she was alive was allowed in.
She opened her eyes 1230, she stretched her arms and sat up, looking around she got up and went out to the balcony. She should still be asleep, the day was her night. She looked overt the lawn, yawned, and went back to bed only to wake up nine and a half hours later.
She showered and dress, blowdriying her hair she put on her dress then cover-ups and left the room. She didn’t go outside, like she wanted, her went to the dinning hall, her barefeet scilent as she walked to lunch, her breakfast.

In the dining hall, the young prince of a foreign kingdom sat amongst other suiters. They all seemed snobbish and impudent. Wealthy families had prepped them for a life of easy living. Such was not his life. His body adorned in scares, his right eye particularly had a elongated cut over it, lucky for him he did not lose the eye but suffered some sight impairment from it. Yet for the man who gave him the scar, some say he tore the poor bastard apart with his bare hands. He looked young however, in his early to late twenties. A prince of warriors caliber. Killed hundreds of man and earned himself the irrefutable title of "Asch The Bloody" said a voice who summoned him to stand. The kind waved him over to speak to him.

Asch, the son of Duke Fon Fabre of the kingdom Ferraldon. A kingdom adorned in pure war. It's vary people were said to be viciously trained at the age of eight to hold a blade and shield. Though the rumors were unknown. Not many traveled to the kingdom. Only merchants who brought goods for trade returned unscathed fromt eh war torn lands.

Asch was a young looking man, his skin was smooth yet lean, he was not overbearing but mid height. He was not muscular but tone in shape and form. His fighting style of one handed sword without shield was admirable. Not many would to battle with a sword in hand and nothing to defend with,only to return with the body count of hundreds drenching his sword. His title 'The bloody' was aimed at for his long flowing blood red hair and his viciousness to drench his clothing in the blood of his enemies.

He approach the king Adros sitting upon his throne, bowing to one knee as he spoke. "Yes my lord?" The king smiled as he waved the boy to stand. "Come now Asch, no need for formalities. Your father was a good friend of mine back in the war days when we were but lowly knights. Tell me, what do you think of my kingdom. And of the lady to be?"

Asch had remained silent, and still knelt on one knee. "Your kingdom is grand as yourself your highness. As for the lady whom i'm to battle for. I can not say for none have seen her face." He then stood without another word to be said then returned to his seat. The king smirking at the boys remark.

Soon there would be a contest, each suitor was allowed one man to fight in his name of honor to win the chance for marriage and unite two kingdoms into one. But Asch, he foguth for himself. He needed no man to fight in his name. Many stared awkwardly at the knight in red. How bold was he to fight alone?

I walked silently along the halls and the dinning hall doors were opened for me I curtsied politely to my father then turned to them, the men sitting at a table. I looked over them all. She had to narrow down the list.

She took a deep breath and let a string of names roll from memory off her tongue, "You all that I have announced, pair up, suit up and meet me in the backing past the try-forked park." They all looked confused but one, a man in red. She pointed with two fingers, "You, the one in red, show the moronic men that have been screwing around instead of learning my home where to go. You as well, get ready. You're up first, since I've changed my mind, with whom i have chosen. The losers of todays battles will be sent home. This is not an episode of the "Bacholorett" that you have watched at home. You are fighting to rule a country. Now, move it before the guards escort you out by your feet." I told them and turned on a heel, disappearing into the kitchen for my breakfast.

As I was walking out my father chuckled, "Your just like your mother, Nat," he told me, "Be careful and go for God's sake put your boots on."

Asch was silent when the young princess ordered him to do as she wished. Immediately he was far more bold as he pushed his chair back and lunged over the table in a single bound and was at the girl in a moment. standing behind her so close his lips almost touched her neck. 'As you wish." Came his silver sharp voice as he was gone the next second grabbing man after man and pointing them to the backyard where the battlegrounds were formed. Asche walked within a strait posture, as his dark blooded eyes looked back to where the princess had left. His urges were getting the better of him. Next time he would have to show more strain.

As the young lords and their guardsmen drew to the battlegrounds, Asch had his personal attended bring out his sword. Hellion. A short blade but wide in diameter. It's metal blacker then night as it was outlined in fire red metal forged from the far off Dekaron volcano's. The sword is said to be able to cut through any metal. Asch took his blade, looking upon her beauty and dealy ferocity when she sang while swung about. He then was even more bold as he removed his red clothing to reveal a simple white dress shirt and pants. He watched as the king stepped up to his large winged chair. Marching over to the king he knelt down before the man he would someday call father.

He stabbing his Hellion into the ground in front of him,head bowed. "I fight for your daughters hand in marriage. I will kill every man who dares step in path. With nothing but my blade and bare skin." He then pulled his blade from the ground. spinning Hellion in a circular motion as he paced about the ring. "ANY WHO DARES TEST ME STEP FORWARD!"

I smiled under the face covering as i ate then went out, taking my place at the left hand of my father, the right was were my mother had been. a team of six stepped up and at once said, "We do."

i clapped lightly, "Uninteresting challenge...will you accept?" I asked the man in white, the same one that'd been in the red at his feet. "I have yet to see a single man defete these six, it always gets them quite high on my list,"

Asch smirked with his head lowered as he spun his blade fast and faster till it spun like the blades of a pinwheel in high winds. He then punched the blade at six's feet. the blade impaled into the solid stone ground almost to the hilt. "I will kill them without my blade. I will kill them with skin alone my lady." His vicious blood red eyes stared to her, eyes so fierce it would make the most bravest of souls turn cold inside. They were his darker eyes. The eyes he only showed in battle.

He rolled up the sleeves of his white shirt into cuffs as he began walking forward. One of the six drew his blade and rushed the man. Swing his sword in a vicious series of arches. All to slow for the dark bloody one. His body moving in a strange fluid motion as he merely slapped the soldiers wrist with each swing, changing the from of arch so he could manipulate movement and speed to dodge and weave out of harms way. With each duck and dodge he delivered powerful punches that left stone sized dents in the knights armor. All before one final heavy above downward swing. Asch raised but one hand,knocking the sword out of the mans hand,catching it. A simple twirl and stab as the blade went cleanly through one of the imprints of his fist. The punch was to get a weak spot to slip a blade through. The single man fell with the Bloody standing clean in white. "Next."

The king leaned over to his daughter. "What do you think of the young Fon Fabre my child?"

She sat with her head in one hand, her eyes watching him and returning the look he'd given her, "I'd like to see more, send everyone home, and bring out our guards, we'll see how well he will protect me if the time ever comes." she itched to go train today, but, it was her day off and she wasn't allowed.

The young suitors began to complain and revolt as many began to order their soldier to attack the single warrior. Asch kept his head bowed as he rolled forward,just barely missing a long sword swinging low to hit him. A leaping jump to avoid a wide swinging spear as he grabbed the handle of his beloved Hellion. "Sing for me,beloved." He whispered as he slowly drew out the flaming blade. The ground lit red with hot burning stone as he spun the blade as several rush forward to their deaths, swing,swing. Heavy horrid cries of death as the heated blade cut through armor like a hot knife through soft butter. Slash,slash. Blood spurting from large open wounds as men were hacked limbs flew, blood flowing as Asch dance about the bodies, lightly swinging his blazing sword through body after body. Taking only a single minute to kill over twenty men. Standing amongst the corpses,covered in red clothing that was once white.

The shocked and awe fled back to the safety of their castles and homes. to weep at their failures.

Asch turned to the king and princess,stabbing his heated blade into the ground. "I will kill. I will slaughter, with blade in hand. Guide me, give me names. And all will fall silent to Hellion and I."

I looked over at my father and he nodded, seeing the blood of someone ion my face. i smiled under the covering and stood, motioning with two fingers as i stepped down the marble steps. Tow guards followed me, one look from me and they knew exactly. I locked eyes with the boy, "You'll see now, just what you are up against. Act like normal, as if you had no training. Go."

One took my arms, my shoulder on the left popping out of place as i was forced on my back to the ground. Not the ground, a bloody mangled corpse. I simply went limp, stopped my breathing and my heartbeat slwoed as i left my eyes open as the light of life in them faded.

The men stood, a sick look on their faced and moved toward him

Asch waited as he simply stayed knelt down. Breathing slowly as he shut everything out. His eyes slowly opened as he inhaled her smell. His ears focusing on her heartbeat and he pulled Hellion out of the ground and flung it with such speed and strength when it impaled the soldier it sent the man soaring through the air.
As soon as the blade left Asch's hand he bolted from the ground in a furious run. Asch's foot implanted into chest of the soldier,sending his body rag dolling through the air. landing on his feet right next to the princess Asch had little time to act. Working the same order as he snapped her shoulder back into place. Pulling her into his arm and kicking the corpse away he pulled the cloth away from her mouth. Pinching two spot on her neck to open up her airway as his lips pressed to her nostrils, breathing out a long breath as he filled her lungs with air,then pulled away.

I looked up at him, remembering my scar was bight like it was fresh as my father nodded in approval, I reached up and pulled the hood back and off, slipping form his arms like nothing hand happened as the guard brought his Hellion back, handing it to me. I held it out, "Come on, I have things to do. Seems as you've killed my main guard," i shrugged and let he blade drop as I turned. I nodded at my father as i walked to the house, "Come on, i swear you are worse then the guard and they are three times as old as your 20 year old looking self."

Asch caught the blade before it could hit the ground, he spun it once. Looking in disapproval as he simply stood there staring at her. "I'm not your guard." He looked to the king for some sympathy but found none. He then glanced back to the princess. "I'll be in my room if you wish to lose that ignorant attitude and speak to me in a normal manner fit for a wife." He snapped his finger and his squire brought him the black lacquered sheath. He placed Hellion away and walked inside with the boy bowing in some scarce form before giving chase.

Asch returned to the room designated for him to stay at while in the country. He sat upon his bed while his squire sat out his room with a sheathed sword in hand. Asch laid upon his bed, sighing as he felt the burning in his throat rise. He reached for a metal contain,uncorking it to swallow the contents as his hands began shaking,only to make a fist and getting a grasp of himself. Corking the metal bottle and slipping it back into his traveling bag.

She rolled her eyes, she hadn't been talking to him, the only living guard in her way followed her, once she was board, she replaced her head covering and went and knocked on his door. She knew nothing about this boy, she wanted to find out.

"Master Asch. The Princess is here to see you." Said the squire as he stepped away from the door. Asch opened the door and then immediately went back to his bed and laid down. "Enter." He said rather calmly as his head laid back and closed his eyes. The squire left without another word to only return with a plate of food for his Master, setting a plate of fruit on the nearby table and left without a word. Asch opened his eyes to look upon the princess. "I apologize if I was rude earlier. I had spent many days traveling with little to no rest."

I shrugged, "I understood just fine. I could tell, you need to eat again, i do not need the only man it seems here to be getting sick during the trials. Tell me about you." I pulled up a chair beside the bed. I was not one to intrude by sitting beside him on the bed. I reached up and took my face covering off, it got hot sometimes and technically now in his prestance i should have it off. I ddin't even half to wear it, to say the least I'd just gotten so used to ti.

His dark red eyes looked to her when she asked him about his life story. Yet he felt inclined to sit up,slipping his legs over the side of the bed and leaned in on his knees, propping his elbows and clasping his hands together into a ball to rest his chin upon. "I'm a warrior covered in bloodshed and death. Yet I am a prince to a nation just as greatly as your own." His dark red eyes scanning her face as she removed her masking cloth. His eyes scanned the contour of her lips. His eyes flaring slightly as he wanted to draw closer. "My father ordered me to journey to your country. to fight for your hand in marriage. We are a proud nation of warriors. My people giving their children pure iron blades to duel with at the age of eight. I was raise din war. Killing thousands of men,women and children in order to make my country grand in expansion. Some call me a demon on the battlefield, a warrior without peer."

He shook his head. "Bloodshed,screams of the innocent fill my mind when I sleep. I am a damned man, and yet, my people praise me so as a rightful ruler who will one day take my fathers place upon the thrown and guide my nation into glory. But all I see, is a mountain of corpses before my feet." H slowly reached forward, almost timidly as he took her hand. "What am I, but a soldier of war. To feel. Almost intimacy for this princess whom I to wed." His dark red eyes fell upon her body, a slender waist he did see. full supple breasts and tender lips to kiss. "Though i'm not worthy to even be called man."

She listened ans when he took her hand she threaded her fingers though his, "My life isn't all praise and glory either. I fought and trained when i was a small child. My mother died when i was mearly three years old. It is not pleasant, i know. To be a man isn't gaged on who or how well you fight," she locked eyes, "its on your morals for life. you actually wanted to do something good, not just gain anointer part of land for your country in marrying me. THAT makes you a man. and the not running like a child.

(i'm hungover from a party and half drunk again...It looks fine."

He shook his head to her kind words. What would she know of his monstrosity? Of his true nature. His throat burning slightly as his eyes raised from her supple breast to her pinked,reddened neck. The soft sound of her pulse invading his mind. The soft wave that eroded his consciousness slowly was pushed back by what little will he had left. He lowered his head to avoid her gaze as he continued to hold her tenderly in hand to hand. "I may face my fate with stride, yet I feel. To wish it to be on better terms. To fall in love and not have to think of position. To hold you, kiss you and not have it be out of need for countrymen and family." He slowly brought her hand to his lips. Kissing tenderly as he was lost in her scent. His lips slowly traveling down her arm, his eyes looking to hers with hunger and need. "Will you be the one to save me from this twisted fate i hold...a damned man...No, I would not call myself a man at this point. But a demon who bathed in the blood of innocent?"

Her breath caught at his kissing, glad it wan't skin to skin up her arm. She hand't been toughed in forever, and that was blamed to on the scars. "I like you better than any of the others. You seem guarded and that seems to make you protective. You aer not the only person bathed in the blood if innocence, for i know how you feel. I will try as best i can, to pull you from being damned for no one, should feel that. Its an ungodly feeling making you feel restricted. SO now, if i am the one to save you, we shall see how it works. If i am not, I will do everything i can for you to find that one person that is there to save you."

His soft red lips slowly traveled up her arm, eventually reaching hers. pressing softly as he pulled her closer. His gently smooth hands holding her face when pulling away. His gentle fingers tracing along her facial scars. "So many years, I thought of giving up hope. That there was nor mortal being who could save a creature as damned as I." He slowly drew his hands back to his side, reaching underneath his pillow he quickly withdrew a small metal canteen, opening it and draining the last of it's contents. corking it and slipping it back under his pillow.

It was the first time she'd been kissed, and he was ever so gental. When he said something about being mortal, she cocked her head to the side, watching him with his canteen then waiting until he was finished to speak like a wife would, "What, do you mean by being mortal?" she knew of only one vampire prince, and they were the people she and her people were fighting against. She felt her her break a little, surprising her, her heart shoudln't be braking atthe thought of him being the one she was supposed to hate and want his head on a platter.

Mine-" His eyes burn a soft red for a moment as he held her hands. "And yours." He looks to the floor of the room. "My father is the Lord Of Darkness. Our families have been killing each other for over two hundred years. My family, cursed with Vampirism. While your family took the call to slay my family in cold blood. I was there when it began, over two hundred years ago. When my father,myself and my mother were killed that day by a vampire. My mother didn't survive the turning, My father and I did however. We killed the creature,earning the praise of our people and their generosity to sate our pain. In turn we promised to keep them safe from evil like ourselves. It was then your family found out by word of mouth that my father was an evil demon,hell bent to conquer the land for his own. So began the endless war of bloodshed. For years my father has survived countless battles waged against him by your family. It was in the wake of those battles, that many innocents were killed on both sides of our countries. After over two hundreds years of war, we've grown tired of this. He said for me to make peace with them, to go to their lands and marry the female descendant of our enemy and make peace." He let her hands go. "If you wish, you may strike at me, you my summon your guards to fight me, and I will kill them. I only wished for your to truly understand, I am here for my countrymen, for peace and end this war. And to finally find someone who will take my heart and compassion and give me theirs." He waited to feel her cold steely words to strike at him, for her to draw some blade and stab him, or to hear the heavy pounding of soldiers steps as they run to their princesses aid. He merely waited.

She sighed, thinking how far the closest guard was to her, about a floor away. she didn't call fro him though, she just got up and walked the room the skirt of her dress dragging on the floor. She took a deep breath, mearly yo calm her nerves, she was in a locked room with a vampire who was also the man she'd been fighting against in battle, her side alwats on the offence.
No wonder, they just wanted peace. She was one moment stanind still getting readt to speak then the next, bound and gaged, sitting on the floor near the closet with his squire staning over her, she glared up as he looked at Asch, "I ahve done what you requested, sire," he said, she felt disbelife hit her like a smack in the face.

Asch slowly rose to his feet as he approached the squire. "Good...You served your purpose." The squire only glanced up before Asch's Hellion drove through the boys chest, blood spurting from his lips. "Lord...Asch..." He gasped as the blade was pulled from his chest and the boy fell to the ground dead. Asch drew a normal dagger and cut her bounds and gently removed the cloth gag. "Sorry, I had to get rid of him. He works for my fathers advisor, he's been corrupting my kingdom for years,giving my father false advice on how to rule his kingdom. And slowly pushing him to conquer other countries. My father sent me here on a quest of good will while the advisor sent this young one with me to change the plans. I had no hand in this I assure you Princess." He sat back down upon the bed, holding out her hand for him to take.

I rubbed my wrists and felt he back of my neck, bitting the inside of my lip i pulled my hair off my neck and undid the cloth Retying it ariound the deep slashes, "Thanks, I have to attend to my wounds..I'll see you later," i made a move towards the door, he stepped infront of me and I looked up at him. He looked at me, protective.
